Experimental Test Specialist

Responsibilities
Support development and execution of the strategy with respect experimental and development test of components, subsystems, and whole engines; you will be regarded as a thought leader
Lead the definition of capability projects including capturing requirements, creating proposals, achieving stakeholder approval, acquiring funding and aligning partner support
Support the development and application of new capabilities; you will lead capability development projects
Lead the resolution of new and emerging technical, compliance and business problems using analytical processes and professional judgement
Proactively access internal and external networks of fellow specialists to further the understanding of experimental and development testing; you will support the implementation of strategic, collaborative relationships
Provide technical direction to peers and more junior professionals, and technical leadership to teams and projects within experimental and development testing
Support the definition of skill and professional knowledge within experimental and development test; you will identify, co-ordinate and deliver training; you will support the development of other specialists, providing active mentoring
Ensure appropriate policies, standards and best practices are defined, shared and adopted
Lead the sharing of Best Practice; you will represent the area as an authority in experimental and development test; you will provide concise justification for decisions, recording and capturing salient information in reports and systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Software, Controls, Systems, Cybersecurity) with 5+ years of experience, OR
Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Software, Controls, Systems, Cybersecurity), with 3+ years of experience, OR
JD/PhD
To be considered for this role, you must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance
Preferred
An attitude of ‘safety first' and a willingness to comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental requirements
A deep understanding of specialist subject and proven ability to influence key decisions
