Responsibilities
Lead estimating for HVAC, plumbing, and process piping projects from start to finish
Perform and review detailed quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment
Analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals for accuracy and scope alignment
Develop complete cost estimates and bid proposals alongside project teams
Build and maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships to support strong pricing
Identify value engineering options and practical cost-saving approaches
Mentor junior estimators and manage team workflows to keep quality consistent
Prepare budgets, cash flow projections, and support preconstruction planning
Qualification
Required
Several years of mechanical estimating experience (HVAC, plumbing, and/or process piping)
Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
Experience with estimating tools like Accubid, PlanSwift, Trimble, or similar platforms
Comfortable collaborating with general contractors, engineers, and project managers
High attention to detail with strong organization and communication skills
A leadership mindset and interest in coaching and developing others
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
