Responsibilities
Provide technical support during application, design, and installation phases
Coordinate engineering activities with sourcing, services, requisition engineering, global engineering teams, and equipment suppliers
Lead development and application of Electrical Material Shipped Direct (MSD) equipment for Gas Turbine (GT) and Steam Turbine (ST) generators
Prepare, develop, and review:
Cable Drawings
Interconnection Drawings
Compartment Interconnections
Partner with requisition management to:
Reduce requisition cycle time
Improve requisition processes from order definition to commercial operation
Ensure on-time delivery of engineering and customer deliverables
Lead generator and electrical equipment discussions in customer meetings (domestic & global)
Drive requisition goals and objectives
Provide technical leadership and support cost-saving initiatives
Define strategies to manage risk and resolve hardware factory or site installation issues
Interpret and implement contract requirements and design practices
Stay updated on global electrical codes, standards, tools, and processes
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
Qualification
Required
6–10+ Years of experience in Electrical Cabling and Interconnection Engineering
Strong experience in gas and steam power plant projects, particularly involving generator, cabling, and electrical interconnection design
Hands-on detailed engineering experience
Supplier coordination experience
Strong technical leadership during design, installation, and commissioning phases
Technical support during application, design, and installation phases
Coordinate engineering activities with sourcing, services, requisition engineering, global engineering teams, and equipment suppliers
Lead development and application of Electrical Material Shipped Direct (MSD) equipment for Gas Turbine (GT) and Steam Turbine (ST) generators
Prepare, develop, and review Cable Drawings, Interconnection Drawings, and Compartment Interconnections

Detailed engineering experience for Gas & Steam Power Plant projects
Design experience with electrical equipment including Motor Control Centers (MCC), Batteries & Battery Compartments, Generator Circuit Breaker (52G), Neutral Grounding Equipment, Generator Protection Systems, AC/DC Panel Boards and Cabinets, Electrical Compartments, Transformers
Strong experience in Cable Sizing as per NEC
Experience developing Plant Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and electrical interconnection drawings
Experience preparing technical specifications for power plant electrical equipment
Supplier coordination experience including review and approval of vendor drawings and documentation
Experience managing stakeholders across multiple departments
Knowledge of international electrical standards: NEC, ANSI, IEEE, IEC
Experience reviewing customer specifications and preparing deviation lists
Strong written and verbal communication skills
