IT User Support Specialist

Responsibilities

Determine source of concern by interviewing users on telephone, email, or help desk ticket response
Educates users by answering questions, interpreting operating instructions, and providing references
Determines source of error by reviewing procedures and actions taken by user and instructing user to perform diagnostic procedures
Resolves problems by providing corrective instructions, consulting with coworkers
Improves documentation by writing revisions and entering fixes into a knowledge base
Evaluates software by testing ease of use and applicability
Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks
Test Microsoft operating system patches for Windows
Build and deploy user machines
Video conferencing setup and support
Assists with special projects as assigned

Required

Minimum of 2 years of help desk experience required, preferably in a law firm environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 11, and Adobe Acrobat is required
Strong professional demeanor, customer service, and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and directly with attorneys and business professionals
Highly organized with the ability to multitask and meet multiple and/or tight deadlines effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, professional environment
Strong ability to troubleshoot and solve problems, anticipate needs, take initiative, and act with moderate supervision
Excellent attention to detail

Preferred

Experience with a broad range of computer applications, especially legal applications, preferred
