Responsibilities
Create and update employer tax accounts across federal, state, and local agencies
Verify correct tax setup (filing frequency, payment methods, tax rates, registration IDs)
Prepare and manage Federal and State Power of Attorney forms
Complete TPA registrations with agencies
Ensure compliance with all federal and state tax requirements
Process daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tax deposits (ACH/check)
Prepare, reconcile, and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
Maintain client tax settings (earnings, deductions, accruals, memo codes, etc.)
Process and document all daily tax deposits
Review transactions for accuracy and identify discrepancies
Perform second‑review checks for SOC compliance requirements
Investigate, document, and resolve discrepancies promptly
Conduct tax research related to filings and account requirements
Review and resolve payroll tax notices from federal, state, and local agencies
Support data conversions and balancing during onboarding
Escalate complex issues to Leads or Management as needed
Communicate with client payroll contacts regarding tax setup, notices, and updates
Collaborate with Payroll and Implementation Specialists to maintain accurate client accounts
Support special projects and department initiatives
Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
Qualification
Required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Analytical and critical-thinking skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Problem-solving skills and willingness to escalate issues appropriately
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
Preferred
Experience with HCM payroll systems
Experience with bulk filing processes (multi-jurisdiction, multi-client, or high-volume tax filings)
Familiarity with isolved (nice to have, not required)
