Responsibilities
Perform detailed takeoffs from construction drawings and specs
Develop complete project estimates including:
Labor hours
Material and equipment costs
Subcontractor pricing
Indirect costs and contingencies
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
Identify scope gaps, clarifications, and exclusions
Participate in bid reviews and handoff meetings
Support change order and value engineering pricing
Maintain historical cost data and productivity benchmarks
Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and owners
Qualification
Required
Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, labor, materials, and risk
Perform detailed takeoffs from construction drawings and specs
Develop complete project estimates including labor hours, material and equipment costs, subcontractor pricing, indirect costs and contingencies
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
Identify scope gaps, clarifications, and exclusions
Participate in bid reviews and handoff meetings
Support change order and value engineering pricing
Maintain historical cost data and productivity benchmarks
Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and owners
Strong understanding of NEC, installation methods, and constructability
Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, Trimble, or ConEst
Preferred
Electrical field experience (Journeyman, Foreman, or Superintendent preferred)
