Responsibilities
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux) and software applications
Set up and maintain user accounts in Active Directory
Assist with the setup and configuration of IT infrastructure components such as servers, routers, switches, and firewalls
Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or in-person to resolve technical issues
Collaborate with other IT team members to implement system upgrades and enhancements
Document all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system (ServiceNow)
Assist with software deployment using SCCM or similar tools
Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies
Perform regular system maintenance tasks such as backups and updates
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows Server)
Familiarity with TCP/IP networking protocols and troubleshooting
Basic understanding of Linux operating systems
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
Knowledge of IT infrastructure components such as servers, routers, switches, and firewalls
Familiarity with Active Directory administration
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Experience with firewall configuration and administration
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash)
