Solutions Engineer

They are seeking a Solutions Engineer (Product Expert) to bridge technical implementation with client experience across the company's primary product lines in housing. The role involves managing client engagements, supporting data analysis, and contributing to internal tooling improvements.
Responsibilities
Act as the product expert across one or more post-sales product lines
Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Operations on implementations, launches, and customer success initiatives
Manage multiple client engagements, including requirement-gathering sessions and stakeholder communication
Use SQL and BI tools to support data analysis, implementation health, and reporting
Respond to customer queries using tools like Postman and DataDog (no day-to-day coding required)
Take ownership of solving client issues with high autonomy and urgency
Contribute to internal tooling improvements and scalable onboarding playbooks
Help shape the future of the Solutions Engineering team as the company grows
Qualification
Required
3–7 years of experience in technical post-sales roles (e.g., solutions engineering, technical project management, product operations) in a SaaS or startup environment
Proficient in SQL for data troubleshooting and analytics
Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and support systems like Zendesk, Jira
Comfortable using tools such as Postman, LogRocket, DataDog, or similar platforms
Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under defined timelines
Experience directly interfacing with clients in implementation or support contexts
Comfortable working onsite in New York City (4–5 days/week)
Preferred
Background in a STEM discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
Experience at Series A/B startups or early-stage environments
Familiarity with BI tools like Looker, Power BI, or Tableau
Able to read and understand basic code (bonus)
Minimum 2+ years tenure in prior roles (no job hoppers)
