Responsibilities
Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure all accounts payable transactions are recorded correctly in the accounting system
Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts payable and other accounting activities as needed
Maintain vendor files and resolve discrepancies or issues related to payments and invoices
Collaborate with internal departments to verify purchase orders and ensure compliance with company policies
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable
Utilize Plan software and other accounting tools to streamline accounts payable processes and improve efficiency
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in accounting or finance preferred
Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role within a manufacturing or related industry
Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Plan software or similar ERP systems
Strong understanding of bank reconciliation, journal entries, and general accounting principles
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred
Experience working in the durable goods manufacturing industry
Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and travel & expense management
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools
Ability to analyze accounts and identify discrepancies or inefficiencies
Prior experience with process improvement initiatives in accounting functions
