Responsibilities
Operates floor cleaning equipment to clean and polish hospital premises
Checks equipment to ensure proper operation
Replaces buffing pad, burnishing pad, etc. and adds cleaning fluids as required
Cleans hospital premises utilizing specified cleansing techniques and chemicals while adhering to specified time frame
Dusts and polishes furniture and equipment (tables, desks, chairs, filing cabinets, etc.)
Cleans venetian blinds, window sills, cabinets and closets
Dusts and spot cleans wall, baseboards, doors as required
Arranges and rearranges furniture before and after cleaning
Washes bathtubs, sinks, tiles, toilets including fixtures
Replenishes disposable items (soap, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.)
Sweeps and mops rooms and corridors
Vacuums appropriate areas
Empties and cleans trash receptacles and wastepaper baskets
Gathers and disposes of refuse
Bags and boxes and tags red bag waste and removes designated areas
Removes bulk refuse to designated areas
Keeps environmental services supply closet in good order
Requests cleaning supplies as needed
Perform related duties as required (assist during flood, snow, or other emergencies)
Assist with training new staff
