Responsibilities
This role is responsible for developing and implementing our most visible strategic messaging programs, that resonate with technical audiences and line of business owners, promote engagement, and address customer needs with value-driven communications about AWS products and partner solutions
Create business and technical narratives to acquire and grow customers and partners at the highest level by articulating the technical differentiation and value proposition of our services and partner programs
Craft a multi-year business development strategy to build lighthouse case studies with partners that highlight our ability to deliver deep expertise to customers through specialist and partners and drive revenue growth in line with our strategic priorities
You coordinate end-to-end manage of external engagements including industry, customer, partner and thought leadership events. In addition to driving thought leadership, you use these events to get feedback from customers and partners to improve our offerings
Your high-caliber content sets quality benchmarks across AWS organizations, serving as a valued resource that elevates technical understanding enterprise-wide
Work directly with the Specialist and Partner leadership team and serve as a leader for the ASP’s Strategic Communications team on messaging our strategic value proposition both internally and externally
You effectively engage with senior executives and industry thought leaders, driving adoption of Amazon's technology solutions and services
Manage a team of executive communication managers who prepare executives for internal and external speaking engagements to include the creation of content for global meetings focused on achieving business outcomes; managing internal communications via email or other channels; video script writing; and social media strategy, content creation and execution
Work closely with the AWS PR, Marketing and Subject Matter Expert teams to align on communication strategies and messaging
Create thought leadership programs and opportunities for the ASP leader to promote the business value that can be obtained by partnering with AWS
Measure and share results of speaking engagements to evaluate impact
Conduct research and monitor industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for enhancing executive communications
Provide guidance and support to executives during high-pressure situations and ensure timely and accurate communication to relevant stakeholders
Qualification
Required
12+ years of professional communications, public relations, or public affairs experience
Experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment, high-tech products/services
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising or business
Experience working with other enterprises on developing joint messaging and thought leadership
Experience developing technical content for diverse, large-scale audiences
Preferred
Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to articulate a clear point of view on complicated issues in crisp, concise communications
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
