Environmental Health Safety Specialist
INW Dallas One Solutions is seeking an Environmental Health Safety Specialist to manage environmental, health, and safety programs for a manufacturing site. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, managing inspections and audits, and improving EHS programs across the facility.

Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations, including OSHA, UOSH, and EPA requirements
Serve as the primary site contact for regulatory agencies; lead and manage inspections, audits, and follow-up actions
Prepare, maintain, and manage OSHA injury and illness records (OSHA 300 and 301), and prepare the annual OSHA 300A for executive certification
Manage incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
Oversee workers’ compensation claims in coordination with HR and medical providers
Own, maintain, and continuously improve all site EHS programs, including PPE, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, hazard communication, emergency response, and related programs
Coordinate the development and execution of the annual EHS project charter and support the site Safety Committee
Ensure programs are implemented effectively across all shifts and departments
Develop site-specific policies, procedures, and training materials aligned with regulatory and operational requirements
Conduct industrial hygiene monitoring, including noise dosimetry and personal air sampling
Interpret sampling data, evaluate exposure risks, and develop written reports and recommendations
Administer and ensure compliance with the site Respiratory Protection Program, including medical clearance coordination and qualitative/quantitative fit testing in accordance with OSHA requirements
Manage the Hearing Conservation Program, including noise assessments, controls, training, and coordination with third-party audiometric testing providers
Develop EHS training content and ensure required training cycles are met
Deliver safety training as required, including First Aid/CPR (certified trainer)
Partner with HR and the Training Manager to maintain training matrices and records
Promote a strong safety culture through audits, observations, employee engagement, and leadership coaching
Support Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) from an EHS perspective, including sanitation safety, chemical handling, and hygiene-related requirements
Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Logistics to integrate safety into daily operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety requirements, including OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping (OSHA 300, 301, and 300A)
Ability to independently manage EHS programs in a manufacturing environment with multiple shifts
Ability to conduct and interpret industrial hygiene monitoring, including noise dosimetry and personal air sampling
Proficiency with standard business software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and similar tools
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with employees, site leadership, and external regulatory agencies
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, powders, odors, fumes, and other industrial conditions; use of personal protective equipment may be required
Ability to access production areas, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing as required to perform safety assessments and inspections
Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including occasional after-hours availability for urgent safety or regulatory matters
Preferred
Manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred
Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CIH, or equivalent preferred
Experience developing written policies, procedures, training materials, and technical reports
