Responsibilities
Qualified to perform the construction, maintenance, and repairs of fiber optics-based telecommunication systems including proper cable preparation, cable installations, fusion splicing, and cable/termination testing procedures
Fiber Technicians must have the aptitude to interpret, maintain, and create fiber optic splice maps
Certification for cable splicing and testing are preferred
Qualification
Required
Qualified to perform the construction, maintenance, and repairs of fiber optics-based telecommunication systems including proper cable preparation, cable installations, fusion splicing, and cable/termination testing procedures
Fiber Technicians must have the aptitude to interpret, maintain, and create fiber optic splice maps
Ability to walk up and down stairs and around a jobsite
Ability to lift 25 pounds
Preferred
Certification for cable splicing and testing are preferred
