Responsibilities
Lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for land development and infrastructure projects, including drainage impact analyses and stormwater management
Develop, review, and oversee H&H models using tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), SWMM/PCSWMM, and related platforms
Support floodplain management efforts and coordinate with FEMA and local jurisdictions as needed (CLOMR/LOMR/LOMR-F experience preferred)
Design and evaluate stormwater conveyance systems, detention/retention facilities, culverts, and drainage infrastructure
Serve as a technical lead and client-facing point of contact, coordinating with internal teams, municipalities, and permitting agencies
Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables across multiple active projects
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers/EITs and contribute to process improvements and QA/QC standards
Assist with proposals, scoping, and project planning to support continued growth of the water resources practice
Qualification
Required
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
10+ years of progressive experience in hydrology, hydraulics, and water resources engineering
Strong understanding of local drainage criteria, municipal design standards, and stormwater permitting processes
Proficiency with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM/PCSWMM, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and GIS platforms
Proven ability to lead projects, communicate clearly with clients and reviewers, and deliver high-quality technical work
Preferred
CLOMR/LOMR/LOMR-F experience preferred
advanced degree a plus
