Responsibilities
Design, develop, and manage robust API proxies, policies, and reusable shared flows/templates using OpenAPI/Swagger standards
Implement and maintain secure API integrations, including mTLS, OAuth/JWT, encryption, and certificate lifecycle management
Enable backend services through full-stack development using Java/Spring Boot, Node.js microservices, and container-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Istio, Docker, and Envoy
Lead CI/CD automation, pipeline design, scripting (e.g., Grunt), and infrastructure-as-code practices to support scalable and repeatable deployments
Drive API governance, performance optimization, observability, logging, and analytics to ensure platform reliability and scalability
Troubleshoot and resolve runtime and integration issues across hybrid environments
Collaborate closely with product, architecture, and engineering teams, maintaining partial overlap with US time zones to support Agile delivery
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for hybrid API platform development and secure integrations
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience as a Senior API Platform Developer/Engineer, with strong focus on Apigee (Edge and Hybrid)
Proven expertise in hybrid cloud integration and enterprise API platform management
Strong hands-on experience with API security, automation, and versioning strategies
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis), and Linux/cloud-based environments
Demonstrated operational excellence and strong problem-solving skills
Preferred
Google Cloud and API certifications and hands-on Apigee Hybrid installation experience are highly preferred
