Senior Manager Financial Planning and Analysis

The Senior Manager Financial Planning and Analysis will support the Associate Director by providing analytical support for the annual operating plan and will assist the finance team in delivering financial services aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the activities surrounding the development of the annual operating budget
Develop revenue and expense assumptions. Develop and update annual financial projections
Coordinate the budget timeline within CCA and across areas of the health system. Maintain and develop relationships with all levels of entity senior leadership as well as UPHS finance and operational leaders
Review monthly financial statements. Identify, interpret, research, and explain monthly variances
Respond to requests from internal and external clients; work collaboratively with varying levels of the organization
Analyze monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls and identify trends and opportunities
Direct the preparation of regular and special budget reports
Provide advice and technical assistance with cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparation
Seek new ways to improve efficiency, increase profits, and improve processes
Review operating budgets to analyze trends affecting budget needs and prepare and present insightful financial reports/dashboards
Examine budget submissions for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations
Oversee and manage budgeting tools and related software systems
Oversee, manage, mentor, and develop relevant staff
Implement the use of budget software directly by Operations staff (practice managers & Directors of Operations), including training and web form creation
Prepare ROI and pro-forma analyses as directed by Operations with guidance from the Associate Director, FP&A
Drive financial strategy, supporting growth & efficiency through advanced modeling and analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
8+ years Relevant experience preferably in a financial management position with a thorough knowledge of healthcare accounting
Preferred
Master of Arts or Science (Preferred)
Masters degree in Business Administration or Finance/Accounting or CPA Master's Degree could count as a proxy for 2 years of experience
