Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all accounting functions including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes; perform balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to support strategic decision-making
Conduct cash flow analysis, budget variance analysis, and financial report writing for internal management
Mentor, train, and develop accounting staff
Collaborate with external auditors during audits; ensure audit readiness and compliance with auditing standards
Support internal controls development to ensure proper documentation of all financial processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Extensive experience in corporate accounting
Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, financial concepts, debits & credits
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
Demonstrated ability to mentor teams effectively while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data for strategic decision-making
Strong understanding of financial management principles including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, balance sheet reconciliation
Preferred
SAP preferred
Italian language: native or fluent is a plus
