Responsibilities
Architect, design, and develop Windows deployment processes (installation flows, image packaging, provisioning, post-deploy configuration, telemetry hooks) for commercial PCs
Define deployment standards and best practices across environments (factory, lab, field) and ensure compliance with Microsoft ecosystem requirements
Build robust release engineering pipelines and deployment tooling (scripts, packaging, validation automation) to support high-quality, repeatable releases
Lead the design & implementation of one groundbreaking innovation idea under the Jedi scope, from technical concept to production rollout
Diagnose and resolve complex deployment issues across platforms, firmware/driver stacks, and manageability layers
Develop and maintain internal deployment utilities, validation harnesses, and integration scripts that improve release reliability and speed
Contribute to build packaging, artifact management, and cross-team integrations within the commercial deployment toolchain
Design lightweight AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., log triage, configuration recommendation, anomaly detection) that elevate team productivity
Integrate AI components into existing workflows while meeting security, compliance, and maintainability standards
Work in Agile teams; partner with firmware, software, release engineering, factory enablement, and customer engagement groups
Participate in milestone planning and readiness reviews to ensure Jedi deliverables meet scope, quality, and schedule
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Hands-on experience designing and developing Windows deployment processes (image creation, provisioning, driver/feature enablement, post-install configuration)
Strong knowledge of the Windows PC ecosystem (driver stack, servicing, Windows features, Microsoft manageability and deployment tooling)
Proficiency in scripting/programming for deployment automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python; Bash optional), CI/CD, and build/release packaging
Demonstrated ability to debug complex deployment issues across OS, drivers, and platform components
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; proven experience working in Agile environments
Preferred
Experience with Windows IoT/Thin Client deployment and integration
Familiarity with enterprise manageability concepts (Intune/Configuration Manager, Autopilot, policy/config orchestration)
Exposure to internal toolchains (e.g., image/build systems) and cross‑org integrations
Practical experience building AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., log parsing/classification, recommendation systems) using frameworks like PyTorch/TensorFlow
Knowledge of version control (Git), artifact repositories, and modern DevOps practices
