Responsibilities

Required

Must have Certified Welding Inspector certification with minimum 5 years' experience
Experience with the following processes: GTAW, FCAW, SMAW
Extensive knowledge of welding processes across a variety of materials requiring testing at both cryogenic and elevated temperature ranges
Ability to learn, grow and tackle new challenges in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail and task ownership, someone who demonstrates pride in all work and willingness to perform low-level tasks when needed
Experience qualifying to and working in accordance with codes and standards (AWS D17.1, ASME BPVC Section IX, B31.3, AWS D1.1, 1.2, D1.6, etc.)
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle small and large projects with internal and external customers
Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
Must be available to work all required shift hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed
Must be willing to travel 25% of the time
Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces
Must have: ASNT level 2 or higher for PT and MT

Preferred

Experience in large assembly / tooling fabrication
Experience with manufacturing drawing review including robust understanding of welding symbols
Ability and willingness to train cross-functional engineering teams on welding requirements and weldment design
Experience working with carbon and stainless steels, aluminum alloys, Ni-based Alloys, and/or other aerospace materials
Experience in hardware manufacturing processes, (i.e., castings, forgings, additively manufactured components, mechanized welding, machining, cleaning, non-destructive testing methods, tight tolerance assembly, leak testing, final acceptance testing of integrated hardware, working with large assemblies, etc.)
Experience supporting design and manufacturing teams in an aerospace environment, including preparing specifications, test reports, and design substantiation documentation
