Commissioning Engineer (f/m/d) for Communication and Networking in HVDC Systems

Responsibilities
Lead the technical, timely, and cost‑efficient commissioning of HVDC systems worldwide, with focus on data networks and SCADA‑level communication
Commission, support, and optimize TCP/IP‑based network infrastructure and HMI concepts
Manage time synchronization systems and signal converters, serving as the interface to all signal‑supplying components
Support other commissioning teams, customers, and partners in troubleshooting and testing communication interfaces
Contribute to quality, risk, claim management, and continuous improvement programs (Lean, reviews, lessons learned)
Qualification
Required
Degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable qualification
5+ Experience in network and PC administration (switches/routers, HMI basics, hardware, virtualization) with foundational knowledge of network protocols, security, and monitoring
Ability to interpret circuit diagrams and work with electrical systems and measuring instruments
Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical information clearly; proactive and team‑oriented working style
Willingness for worldwide travel and extended on‑site or offshore assignments; OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E preferred)
