Responsibilities
Carry out operating strategies and maintenance programs to ensure continuous availability and functionality of critical security systems (e.g. access control, network video, visitor management)
Maintain CloudHQ security ticketing system: triage security support tickets, assign to others as necessary, update tickets as appropriate, close out tickets with detailed resolution notes
Troubleshoot site-level security equipment issues, and perform repairs in-house when possible
Engage 3rd party security contractors when in-house repairs are not possible
Manage 3rd party security contractors (service calls and ongoing projects)
Coordination and inspection of services performed by outsourced vendors
Perform monthly Windows patching of all security servers
Maintain an environment where diligence to policies and proven processes is a baseline requirement
Ensure best security and safety practices and standards are adopted and enforced
Knowledge and familiarity with all emergency response plans and evacuation procedures, which includes participation in fire evacuation drills
Achieve and maintain manufacturer technical certifications for relevant security systems
Qualification
Required
Solid background in physical security systems
Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in installing and maintaining access control and video surveillance systems
Carry out operating strategies and maintenance programs to ensure continuous availability and functionality of critical security systems (e.g. access control, network video, visitor management)
Maintain CloudHQ security ticketing system: triage security support tickets, assign to others as necessary, update tickets as appropriate, close out tickets with detailed resolution notes

Proficiency in popular Microsoft office suite applications, access control systems, network video systems, and related software
Advanced oral and written communication and technical writing skills
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify key issues, analyze data and use technical and organizational expertise to develop creative and innovative solutions
Ability to handle typical emergencies and crises efficiently and effectively
Travel among facilities in Northern Virginia as needed
Must carry a cell phone at all times and be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week
Extended hours may be significant at times
Preferred
Experience with Gallagher Command Centre and Milestone VMS
Technical certifications from access control and video surveillance manufacturers
Three or more years operating, repairing or installing security systems in a high-reliability data center environment or equivalent
