This role focuses on driving enterprise-wide export compliance excellence by developing policies, processes, and automated solutions to support business growth in complex programs such as AI and Quantum technologies.

Responsibilities
Provide strategic expertise on US and global export regulations and provide recommendations to internal business customers on program initiatives to drive alignment between compliance requirements and business objectives
Work closely with Legal and Policy partners to monitor and analyze global export regulation changes, assess business impact, and develop proactive mitigation strategies
Lead cross-functional working groups on complex compliance challenges
Provide expert level guidance on global classification
Develop classification methodologies for emerging technologies
Develop scalable frameworks for managing authorizations and assessing compliance
Drive innovative solution requirements to further enhance and automate compliance
Design and deliver advanced training programs for compliance teams and business stakeholders
Create metrics for management reporting
Manage various business reports to stakeholder teams and leadership on compliance initiatives
Mentor and develop export control professionals across the organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, international relations, or a security-related field
Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives
Experience implementing scalable compliance solutions (technology, procedures, processes, etc.) in a regulated environment
10+ years of progressive experience in export controls, trade compliance, or international regulatory affairs
Experience with global export control regulations (both dual use and defense)
Preferred
Experience with cloud computing or web services or related areas
Advanced degree (JD, MBA, MS) in International Trade, Law, or related field
12+ years of export control experience with increasing scope and responsibility
Certified Export Compliance Professional (CXCP) or equivalent advanced certification
Deep expertise in emerging technology regulations (AI/ML, quantum computing, advanced semiconductors, encryption)
Experience with successful regulatory advocacy and policy influence with measurable outcomes
Background in both commercial and defense export controls across multiple jurisdictions
Experience with trade compliance automation, digital transformation, and AI/ML applications
