Responsibilities
Perform maintenance on commercial aircraft components
Assist with training new technicians and may coordinate work of other technicians
Ensure work is performed in accordance with the operations policy and procedure, including daily verification that all aircraft related material in area is properly identified, maintained, preserved, and segregated
Ensure the data being used to perform maintenance and alteration tasks is current per the repair station requirements
Record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record
Assist the Supervisor as directed in the area of employee training and records keeping as required by the regulations and as needed to assure quality job production
Perform the necessary research to assure that technical data and manuals are current and appropriate for associated tasks

Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum two years' related experience and/or training
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, vendors, and customers, top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Demonstrated leadership ability
Capable of training other technicians in all aspects of departmental processes
Preferred
Prefer some related college courses, certificate or associate degree
