Regional Sales Manager (West)
SCHURTER Americas is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (West) responsible for managing sales activities within the Western United States. The role involves overseeing existing accounts, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction while driving growth and expanding market share.

Responsibilities
Manage all sales activities in the assigned Western territory, including direct OEM relationships, POS account management, leading assigned manufacturers' representatives, and driving local distribution sales to meet and exceed year-over-year growth targets
Conduct quarterly business reviews with territory manufacturers' representative companies, monitoring KPIs to ensure growth expectations are met. Implement corrective actions and adjust plans as necessary to optimize performance
Drive territory NBO initiatives to completion, focusing on profitable growth, increased closure rates, securing repeat business, and expanding Schurter’s market share in the Western region
Work closely with the Marcom team and manufacturers' representatives' sales teams on identified prospects to generate new opportunities, acquire new customers, and address competitive activities above the sales funnel, fueling future NBO activities and growth
Visit customers as needed to support manufacturers' representatives and distributors, promoting Schurter products and addressing technical and business needs. Communicate and report customer expectations internally to inform new design and product programs
Collaborate with the Distribution Sales team to drive POS growth and customer satisfaction in the assigned Western territory. Maintain direct and cooperative contact with all customers to embody a customer-centric approach
Assist Inside Sales and Technical Support teams in prioritizing customer needs while balancing Schurter’s goals and objectives, ensuring seamless coordination across functions
Forecast and monitor territory order intake, NBO funnel, and KPIs, providing timely insights to support regional sales strategies
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in sales and customer service, with a proven track record in sales within the electronic components industry
Strong problem-solving attitude and business acumen, with the ability to independently address challenges and align activities with broader objectives
Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite, including tools for sales tracking and reporting
Ability to project a positive company image to customers, vendors, representatives, and distributors, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proven ability to deliver projects, manage priorities, and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
Background in the electronic component business through practical experience or formal training, with a basic understanding of electronics. Circuit protection is a plus
Willingness and ability to undertake extensive travel (up to 50%) within the Western United States to support sales activities and customer relationships
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing market conditions and customer needs
