Data Center Telecom Project Manager
MP Nexlevel, LLC is seeking a Data Center Telecom Project Manager to oversee the on-site management of utility construction projects. The role involves project planning, budget management, team leadership, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for OSP and ISP fiber optic installations, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management
Coordinate project schedules with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely completion
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs remain within allocated resources
Track project expenses, approve vendor invoices, and manage change orders
Oversee both OSP and ISP construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations
Supervise fiber optic cable installation, splicing, terminations, and testing processes, ensuring work is completed to industry standards
Lead cross-functional teams, including field engineers, construction crews, contractors, and subcontractors
Provide direction, motivation, and problem-solving support to ensure the project runs smoothly and within scope
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication regarding project progress, milestones, and challenges
Prepare and present regular progress reports, addressing any potential delays, issues, or risks
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including securing necessary permits and rights-of-way for both OSP and ISP projects
Manage and liaise with local authorities and utility companies to ensure access for construction
Identify potential risks to the project’s success and develop proactive mitigation strategies
Address issues promptly and efficiently to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets
Enforce strict safety protocols in the field, ensuring that all team members follow safety regulations and practices
Perform regular site inspections to ensure safety compliance in both OSP and ISP environments
Oversee the testing and certification of installed fiber optic systems (e.g., OTDR testing, end-to-end testing) to ensure all installations meet client and technical specifications
Manage the documentation and handover process, including as-built drawings, system documentation, and warranty information
Maintain accurate records of all project documentation, including contracts, permits, inspections, and change orders
Ensure timely reporting of project status, including potential delays, financial tracking, and milestone achievements
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School education or GED
Valid Driver's License
Valid DOT health card
Previous utility construction experience
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence
Ability to use computers /electronic devices
Able to read blueprints and follow job specifications and orders
Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
Can perform basic capabilities within Bluebeam Software
Must be physically fit to endure the daily activity involved with the job
Must be able to work in all weather conditions
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
Must be able to sit for long periods of time as required for driving and computer work
May require focusing on a computer screen for several hours at a time
