Sr. Oracle DBA - OMS/GIS
Largeton Group is seeking a Senior Oracle DBA specializing in OMS and GIS environments. The role involves providing support for Oracle databases, optimizing performance, and managing database maintenance while ensuring compliance with standards.

Responsibilities
Provide support for Oracle OMS and Esri-based GIS environments and databases
Handle server requests (Linux/Windows) for OMS and GIS, ensuring adherence to client standards
Monitor and optimize performance of ArcGIS/ArcFM environments
Maintain and troubleshoot sync jobs, report failures, and support build deployments
Manage configuration stores and ongoing database maintenance, including optimization for specific applications
Update and patch database software as required
Perform SDE compress, index rebuilds, and maintain editing workflows and version architecture
Ensure data synchronization, replication, and scalability of GIS and OMS databases
Maintain and migrate Esri ArcGIS Enterprise (including version 10.6.1) and associated data models for Gas and Electric
Install, configure, and upgrade GIS applications (ArcSDE, ArcFM, ArcIMS) on Windows and Unix servers
Manage ArcGIS user accounts, services, permissions, and SDE-Oracle database storage
Design and implement disaster recovery plans (RMAN, Data Pump, backups)
Script and schedule monitoring/maintenance tasks using shell and batch scripts
Oversee server upgrades, patching, and service pack installations
Set up and maintain multi-user SDE databases, including versioning and environment refresh processes
Create and update spatial metadata and indexes; optimize database performance through reorgs
Install and configure Oracle Application server, OC4J, and mapview for Oracle Spatial
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database/application issues; tune database performance on Unix and Windows
Monitor system resources (disk, CPU, memory, network) and optimize storage allocation
Implement and maintain Oracle partitioning for performance and archiving
Perform server consolidations and automate maintenance using PL/SQL
Review and ensure compliance of database physical models and standards
Assist developers with application testing and provide production support
Configure, deploy, and manage backup/recovery strategies (RMAN, Tivoli, scripts)
Manage database security, auditing, and user access to comply with corporate and SOX standards
Document and validate functional/database requirements and support change management
Load and manage spatial/non-spatial data using various Oracle tools
Clone/refresh SDE databases and perform environment migrations
Create and manage database objects (procedures, functions, triggers, partitions, etc.)
Conduct capacity planning and design for new/existing databases
Manage and support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Perform performance monitoring/tuning for both Oracle and MS SQL Server OLTP/OLAP databases
Collaborate with application developers, support teams, and stakeholders to ensure database reliability and availability
Qualification
Required
3+ years experience creating stored procedures in SQL
Advanced SQL development using Oracle SQL Developer
Strong experience as an Oracle DBA (including backend database and optimal database design)
Senior-level Database Administration
Preferred
Experience administering/testing enterprise GIS and database projects
Knowledge of ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, Portal, and Oracle Utilities
