Responsibilities
Lead and manage projects, including delegating tasks to available staff resources
Perform technical review of non-complex geotechnical reports, addenda letters, and proposals
Perform geotechnical engineering analyses, including vertical/lateral capacity of shallow and deep foundations, settlement analyses, liquefaction analyses, slope stability analyses, retaining wall recommendations, grading evaluation (knowledge of ground motion evaluations is a plus)
Provide geotechnical recommendations for the design of private and public projects
Oversee construction geotechnical services on a project-by-project basis
Generate new work from existing and new clients, a plus
Demonstrate good judgment and maturity; knows when to apply professional judgment without supervision
Qualification
Required
Five or more years of experience in geotechnical engineering project management
B.S. and/or M.S. degree in Civil Engineering
Licensed as a California Professional Engineer (PE) and on track for Geotechnical Engineer (GE) License
Experience in managing geotechnical projects from proposal through construction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Knowledge of ground motion evaluations is a plus
Generate new work from existing and new clients, a plus
