New Grad, Entry LevelArmor Equipment is a full-service distributor and service center for refuse, street, and sewer customers. They are seeking an Accounting Specialist to manage labor tracking, maintain vendor files, process invoices, and assist with financial reporting and month-end closing activities.

Responsibilities
Update and maintain labor tracking information and related records
Maintain and update customer and vendor files
Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation
Review vendor invoices for accuracy, coding, approvals, and compliance with company procedures
Distribute and post vendor payments
Enter and post invoices into Sage 100
Receive and post customer payments; research and resolve payment discrepancies as needed
Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing and entering monthly journal entries
Assist Controller with general ledger reconciliations and resolving variances
Assist Controller with preparation and basic analysis of financial statements and reports
Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress, and preparation
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proficient computer and typing skills; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and basic accounting principles
High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently, with demonstrated problem-solving skills and follow-through
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Able to meet physical requirements of the job
Preferred
Experience with ERP/accounting software (Sage 100 preferred) is a plus
