This remote role involves gathering records, conducting factual investigations, and taking witness statements under attorney supervision.

Responsibilities

Conduct factual investigations related to childhood abuse claims

Interview clients and witnesses and take detailed written or recorded statements

Gather, organize, and summarize evidence, including: Church, school, or institutional records; Medical, counseling, and treatment records; Personnel files, correspondence, and historical documents

Assist attorneys in identifying corroborating witnesses and sources of proof

Prepare investigative summaries, timelines, and memoranda

Maintain strict confidentiality and sensitivity when working with survivors

Communicate regularly with supervising attorneys regarding case progress

Required

Experience in a legal, investigative, social-services, or related support role

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability

Familiarity with North Louisiana institutions, communities, or records systems is strongly preferred

Preferred

Paralegal certification or prior litigation support experience

Experience taking witness or client statements

Background in investigations, victim advocacy, social work, or counseling support

Knowledge of record-gathering processes (subpoenas, authorizations, public records requests)
