They are seeking a Junior Project Accountant to support project-level accounting activities and ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting, contributing to the efficiency of financial processes and the success of project stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Collection of Accounts Receivable for projects
Credit Policy administration - includes requesting credit information and D&B reports on potential customers
File liens for construction and service projects as needed
Manage customer bankruptcy filings
Manage construction and service accounts placed with D&B for collection
Prepare for Accounts Receivable meetings
Complete customer prequalification forms
Prepare warranty and evaluation letters, set up in BuildOPs
Provide support for the project department where needed
Enter new projects, estimates and contract billing information
Maintain accounting project files with cost, billing and warranty information
Prepare billings including AIA documents, progress bills, and waivers
Enter change order billing information and cost estimate
Transfer and adjust project costs as needed
Run final cost reports for approval and close when projects are complete
Attend project meetings
Maintain long-term storage of job and accounting files (electronic)
Support the Accounting team as needed
Qualification
Required
High level of detail, accuracy, and organization
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Timely responses to all requests
Preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Previous related work experience or education
Understanding of accounting or bookkeeping principles
Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills
Familiarity with accounting software a plus
