Responsibilities
Drive ongoing improvements across procurement, scheduling, and planning through innovative processes and effective use of ERP technologies
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including regular performance evaluations, conflict resolution, and long‑term partnership development
Develop and implement risk‑mitigation strategies to minimize operational disruptions related to product shortages or supply chain volatility
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost, sustainability, and ethical standards
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure cost‑effective and mutually beneficial agreements
Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to understand needs and ensure procurement activities support broader organizational goals
Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, economic conditions, supplier capabilities, and pricing fluctuations
Analyze inventory levels and demand forecasts to optimize stock levels, reduce carrying costs, and support production efficiency
Perform other relevant duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proven success in a fast‑paced office environment, with a hands‑on leadership style and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
Required experience in food purchasing, including contract negotiation, vendor management, and understanding of market dynamics for effective procurement strategy
Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams or procurement functions
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred
Experience with commodities, ingredients, and packaging materials (e.g., films, cartons, corrugated components)
Master's degree preferred
