Part-Time Grant Writer
Erika's Lighthouse is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing mental health education and suicide prevention resources to schools. They are seeking a Part-Time Grant Writer to secure high-value institutional grants that support their mission, particularly in youth mental health and education funding.

Responsibilities
Proactively research and identify institutional funding opportunities (foundations, both national and multi-state) that align with Tier-1 mental health and social-emotional learning objectives and our Four Pillar model
Develop sophisticated, articulate, and compelling grant narratives and proposals, including letters of inquiry, proposals, and required attachments
Focus heavily securing new funding, particularly grants related to mental health, education access, or public health policy
Explicitly translate our data and outcomes—such as the 89% of students who report being able to identify signs and symptoms of depression or our peer-to-peer approach —into funder language
Ensure all grant applications clearly articulate how funding will support the delivery of our free, high-quality, skills-based curriculum to reach more students across the country
Collaborate with the Erika's Lighthouse team to prepare accurate and timely reports for high-value grants, ensuring all reporting metrics align with the initial proposal and showcase the measurable impact of the investment
Qualification
Required
At least 5 years of experience in fundraising. If you have no fundraising or development experience do not apply
Erika's Lighthouse offers a hybrid work environment with on-site work two-days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Candidates must be able to work on-site two days a week
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers, staff, community groups and other related agencies and stakeholders
Ability to work strategically within a team structure as well as independently
Dependability, good time management and organizational skills, and attentiveness to detail
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with an infectious enthusiasm for the mission and the ability to engage and inspire others
Must be able to pass a background check
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred, but experience will be more heavily considered
Preferred knowledge of technology including HubSpot and Google Workspace
