Responsibilities

Responsible for creating P&L statements as well as balance sheet monthly
Reconcile General Ledger and prepare journal entries, WIP schedules and C2C accounting
Serves as the primary liaison between the lending bank and the company, while acting as the company advocate regarding any outstanding banking issues
Responsible for maximizing return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
Monitors and reconciles all cash
Directs the organization’s general accounting functions for the entire fiscal cycle. Establishes accounting policies, procedures and processes in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
Responsible for logging all hourly employees time into the payroll system
Works along with CPA firm to provide corporate taxes and audited statements
Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating change where necessary
Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
Responsible for the Company’s monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process and management reporting of results, and operating metrics

Required

Experience in the Construction industry
Ability to handle mid-sized company Accounting tasks
Experience overseeing Accounting operations function
Experience with AR/AP/Payroll staff
Ability to create P&L statements and balance sheets monthly
Experience reconciling General Ledger and preparing journal entries, WIP schedules and C2C accounting
Ability to act as the primary liaison between the lending bank and the company
Experience establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
Ability to monitor and reconcile all cash
Experience directing general accounting functions for the entire fiscal cycle
Ability to establish accounting policies, procedures and processes in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
