Responsibilities
Performs complex tool setup activities (e.g., alignment, leveling). Performs visual inspections on tools using appropriate documentation
Makes major repairs
Manufactures assembly and fabrication tools using various manual and computer controlled machines, hand tools and precision alignment equipment
Operates various factory support equipment to move materials and tools as required
Provides tooling support to other organizations
Designs various part fabrication and assembly tools per part engineering drawings or customer requests to enable production using computer or paper tool design processes
Determines fabrication and assembly processes for the design
Reverse engineers designs and fabrication processes for parts
Demonstrates functionality of complex fabrication and assembly tools to approving authority by manufacturing first part with new tool
Resolves problems with tool to produce acceptable parts and assemblies
Works under general direction
Must be crane certified
Qualification
Required
3+ years of Formal or Informal Leadership Experience
3+ years' experience in manufacturing, fabrication, and aerospace
1+ years of experience with 787 program operations
Ability work 3rd shift
Must be able to obtain a Fall Protection Certification
Must be crane certified
Preferred
5+ years of experience leading teams
5+ years of experience with maintenance or repair machinery
5+ years of experience with maintenance or repair of industrial equipment
5+ years of being Crane certified in a manufacturing, Aerospace, or fabrication environment
Ability to maintain a periodic maintenance program in a production environment
5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
