Patient Financial Counselor - Hematology Oncology

Responsibilities
Handle direct interaction with patients and their families during difficult times
Provide financial insurance and payment information to assist them in planning and managing their account balances related to specific services performed in the clinic
Educate patients on the various sponsorship programs available to them
Serve as the liaison to the PBO/RBO and the sponsoring hospital
Qualification
Required
3 years of experience in a Business Office, preferably in a financial/billing position
Experience with medical and health plan terminology, CPT codes, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding
Preferred
Coursework/Training: College coursework
Experience with medical specialty
