Insight Global is seeking a Manager of Engineering & Web/App Development to oversee day-to-day development activities for web and mobile applications. This role involves leading a small team, enforcing best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and high-performing applications.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day development activities for web and app projects using React, JavaScript, and Python
React and react native
Ensure robust API design and secure integrations with enterprise systems
Assist in modernizing legacy applications
Implement and optimize solutions on Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, API Management)
Collaborate with data teams to enable analytics using Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms
Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of accountability and innovation
Translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate clearly with stakeholders
Enforce coding standards, testing practices, and secure development principles
Support adoption of CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies

Required

Experience with React for building responsive, scalable front-end applications
Strong JavaScript skills (front-end and APIs) with modern frameworks and best practices
Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar data platforms
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services
Understanding of API design and integration patterns
Proven ability to manage small engineering teams and deliver projects on time
Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills
Experience with Agile development and DevOps practices (CI/CD preferred)

Preferred

TypeScript experience
Exposure to data governance and security best practices
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts for future integration opportunities
