Marketing Data Analyst
MARS Solutions Group is seeking a Media Measurement Data Analyst to turn data into powerful storytelling that drives brand strategy and informs C-suite decisions. This role involves performing media measurement, data analysis, and providing insights to senior leadership for optimizing media investments.
Responsibilities
Perform full-funnel media measurement across paid, owned, and earned channels (social, TV, influencer, retail media, etc.)
Conduct data harmonization, taxonomy standardization, and KPI alignment across enterprise media programs
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and aggregate large datasets from multiple media sources
Use advanced Excel and statistical techniques to analyze performance data, identify trends, and quantify ROI or incremental lift
Translate analytical results into strategic stories and executive-level recommendations for senior leadership
Collaborate with media managers, agency partners, and buyers to interpret results and drive media optimization
Contribute to the design and enhancement of Power BI dashboards for recurring and ad-hoc reporting
Explore opportunities to integrate AI-powered analysis and automation (e.g., LLM-assisted reporting, anomaly detection, or predictive modeling) into reporting workflows
Qualification
Required

Strong SQL expertise – able to query, join, and structure large datasets efficiently
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, modeling, and data visualization
Statistical analysis experience – capable of identifying trends, variances, and causal insights
Exceptional data interpretation and storytelling ability – translating analytics into clear business narratives
Understanding of data infrastructure and data flow; familiarity with media data ecosystems a plus
Comfort in fast-paced environments with high visibility and tight turnaround times
Preferred
Familiarity with media measurement, MMM, attribution modeling, or marketing science
Exposure to AI-driven analytics tools or generative AI for insights summarization
Experience with agency collaboration or enterprise-level marketing analytics
