Responsibilities

Perform tasks related to the planning and scheduling of STAVs with critical suppliers
Call and engage suppliers to establish schedule dates, draft and issue formal letters, and follow up with suppliers to obtain preparation material
Plan, organize, direct and report on all supplier quality-related activities such as raw materials, packaging materials, good manufacturing practices (GMP) service providers, as well as contract manufacturers, and/or contract manufacturing and laboratories to assure fulfillment of contract/purchase order requirements
Translate engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements
Assure that customer quality-imposed technical requirements are adhered to by suppliers and that a quality system is maintained
Conduct programs designed to improve supplier performance, productivity, and process validation
Prepare, maintain and review procurement quality assurance procedures to assure compliance with customer and/or government requirements
Review and analyze corrective action reports and purchase orders in an effort to reduce and eliminate defects
Monitor quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities, and maintain feedback loops
Administer a certified supplier program or related programs in receiving inspection
Audit third party manufacturers, due diligence and vendor selection process
Perform deviation investigations into quality issues

Required

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 1 years of relevant professional experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
