Responsibilities
Advise clients on new and complex accounting pronouncements
Assist clients in ensuring financial records are in accordance with GAAP
Review/Prepare GAAP basis financial statements and disclosures
Review/Prepare work papers to support an audit
Review/Assist SEC Financial Report preparation
Assist companies with SOX 404 compliance
Contribute to operational initiatives, such as assisting with month-end close activities, reporting improvements, and process documentation
Qualification
Required
BA in Accounting
Minimum of 3 years' experience
Audit experience in a top 15 accounting firm required; 'Big 4' experience a plus
Strong knowledge of SOX/COSO Integrated Internal Control Framework
Strong process and analytical skills
Knowledge of US GAAP and general business and operational principles, including audit practices, tools, techniques, concepts and trends. Knowledge of IFRS a plus
Strong process and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Strong Word and Excel proficiency
Work collaboratively
CPA obtained or in progress
Preferred
Operational accounting experience (e.g., financial close, reporting, internal control process support)
