Corporate Research Intern

Texas Permanent School Fund Corporation is seeking a Corporate Research Intern to support their Corporate Research function across strategic, financial, and communications initiatives. Responsibilities

Conduct research on financial, endowment, and investment‑related topics to support corporate strategy and decision‑making
Assist in drafting white papers, briefing notes, and benchmarking reports by distilling complex information into clear insights
Track industry trends, peer practices, and emerging issues relevant to endowment and institutional investment management
Review Excel models, PowerPoints, and Word documents prepared for Executive Leadership and the Board for accuracy, consistency, and clarity
Assist with preparing comprehensive reports, visualizations, and presentations for the Executive Committee
Work with internal teams and industry peers to exchange knowledge and identify best practices
Support cross‑functional collaboration on strategic research initiatives
Provide project management and organizational support across strategic initiatives
Take initiative to learn new skills and contribute across multiple functions as business needs evolve

Required

Must be enrolled in an accredited institution
Rising Junior or Senior (May 2026 graduates welcome)
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Majors: Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
Demonstrated problem‑solving, teamwork, and organizational skills through coursework, extracurriculars, volunteer work, or prior internships
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to produce professional materials
Foundational research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information
Familiarity with research methods and creating visually effective presentations
Ability to interpret complex data and support informed decision‑making
Strong collaboration skills and ability to incorporate stakeholder feedback effectively
Professional discretion with sensitive information
Critical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities
Ability to maintain the security and integrity of information and systems
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
Routine mobility around the worksite to perform duties
Occasional lifting or moving of materials/equipment up to 20 pounds
Up to 5% domestic travel
Must be on‑site Monday–Friday
