Responsibilities
CIH has laboratories for the calibration of sound level meters, noise dosimeters, octave filters, acoustical calibrators, microphones, vibration meters, accelerometers, modal hammers, and shock accelerometers. Plus, cross training in other calibration labs
Routine calibrations, laboratory improvement, further development, standard operating procedures in compliance with ANSI standards, ASTM standards, and OSHA compliance

Qualification
Required
BS in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, or other related field
0-3 years of working experience
General integrity and honesty towards work, data keeping, and equipment usage
Preferred
Coursework in acoustics and/or vibrations
General electrical or electronics engineering background
Ability to analyze circuit boards without a schematic
Experience reading ISO or ANSI standards
Good troubleshooting ability
Ability to take initiative and propose future lab developments
Technical reading ability
Open to learn and practice calibrations outside of acoustics
Intermediate level understanding of Microsoft Excel
Rudimentary understanding of acoustical and vibration mechanics and terminology
