Responsibilities
You will provide Process Authority validation and support services for aseptic processing and filing technologies globally
Conduct microbiological validations, compliance audits, and improve processes for several sterilization technologies
You will grow crops of heat-resistant bacterial spores for biological validation studies
Perform compliance audits, facility audits, process design and optimization, product/process assessments
Teach courses on aseptic processing and better process control at JBT Marel and customer locations
Assist sales and marketing teams with thermal processing information for equipment sizing and project proposals; support new product development projects
Stay updated on scientific advancements, present technical papers, and provide technical support for leased software like AseptiCAL
Support New Product Development projects as the Subject Matter Expert for Aseptic processing and filling technologies
Provide technical support to customers that use JBT Marel's leased software such as AseptiCAL
Qualification
Required
BS degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Food Engineering, or related technical field
10+ years' experience in the thermal processing food laboratory environment required
Working knowledge of US FDA and USDA regulations for thermal processing of foods in hermetically sealed containers required
Experience with AseptiCAL, CALSoft, DataTrace and Ellab
