Member Benefits Specialist
Group Management Services (GMS) is seeking to hire a full time Member Benefits Specialist with excellent customer service skills. The Member Benefits Specialist is responsible for interacting with members over the phone to provide information in response to inquiries about their services and handle and resolve complaints.

Responsibilities
Answer calls and/or correspondence (emails) from members, client, & providers
Review Health Benefit plans to accurately quote to members / providers and use that information to answer questions
Communicate details and resolve issues with members
Enter pre-claim information and attach scanned documents
Work with manager on difficult situations to ensure quick resolution
Assist with training new member benefits specialists as needed
Open, sort, scan mail; sort faxes
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
1-3 years related experience preferred; experience in a TPA environment preferred
Ability to read and understand various benefit forms, documentation, files and information in the department
Understanding of medical terminology
Excellent interpersonal skills
