Responsibilities
Administers duties related to the collection of data and/or the coordination of clinical trials
Support assigned research protocols
Coordination activities of assigned research protocols including obtaining informed consent from study participants
Specimen collection and data entry
Support of therapeutic studies including completion of data entry into various database systems
Follow-up of patients according to protocol
Ordering supplies
Preparing patient/participant documents for study visits
Assisting with the maintenance of regulatory documents
Communicating with study sponsors
Facilitating the collection of study-required specimens
Qualification
Required
Effective communication, good decision-making, eagerness to embrace challenges with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm, and time management skills
Excellent teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with those from diverse backgrounds and experiences
Familiarity with regulatory requirements in clinical research or ability to successfully learn this
Experience interacting with patients and coordinating care with medical staff
Gain a solid learning and understanding of regulatory guidelines and following a clinical trial protocol
Associate's degree
In lieu of an associate's degree, 2 years of relevant experience required with a high school diploma or GED
Preferred
Prior experience in clinical trials
Bachelor's degree preferred in scientific, health related or business administration program
