Responsibilities
Lead the planning, development, and execution of Epic end-user training programs
Manage and mentor Epic trainers, instructional designers, and training support staff
Partner closely with clinical, operational, and IT leadership to align training strategy with organizational goals
Oversee curriculum development, training schedules, and delivery methods (classroom, virtual, blended)
Ensure training readiness for go-live and post–go-live optimization efforts
Track training progress, completion metrics, and readiness reporting for leadership
Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies related to training and adoption
Serve as a visible, trusted training leader in a dynamic Epic environment
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as an Epic Training Manager or Epic Training Lead on large-scale implementations or upgrades
Strong understanding of Epic workflows and training best practices
Experience leading training teams in fast-paced, high-stakes healthcare environments
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
Ability to jump in quickly, assess needs, and drive execution with minimal ramp-up
Willingness to be onsite in the NYC area; openness to short-term relocation (January–June) is an option but a local candidate is strongly preferred
Preferred
Epic credential(s) or extensive Epic training leadership experience
Experience supporting high-visibility or executive-sponsored initiatives
Background working with diverse clinical and operational groups
