Project Engineer
G&E Partners is a large, well-established heavy civil contractor delivering complex public infrastructure projects. The Project Engineer plays a critical role in the delivery of large-scale heavy civil and infrastructure projects, supporting various aspects such as planning, cost tracking, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination.
Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of project delivery strategies for large-scale heavy civil and infrastructure projects
Assist in tracking and communicating project performance metrics including cost, schedule, productivity, and risk
Support cost forecasting, cost-to-complete analysis, change management, and internal reporting
Coordinate closely with Superintendents to align field activities with the project schedule and construction sequencing
Act as a key liaison between field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to support material procurement, delivery timing, and scope execution
Provide construction engineering support including RFIs, submittals, quantity tracking, and as-built documentation
Assist in managing subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure compliance with scope, quality, and schedule requirements
Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and coordination sessions with internal teams and external stakeholders
Support risk identification and mitigation planning to protect schedule, cost, and overall project outcomes
Help ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and applicable regulatory obligations
Qualification
Required
Experience in heavy civil and infrastructure projects
Ability to support project delivery strategies
Experience in tracking and communicating project performance metrics including cost, schedule, productivity, and risk
Knowledge of cost forecasting, cost-to-complete analysis, change management, and internal reporting
Ability to coordinate with Superintendents to align field activities with project schedule and construction sequencing
Experience acting as a liaison between field teams, subcontractors, and vendors
Ability to provide construction engineering support including RFIs, submittals, quantity tracking, and as-built documentation
Experience managing subcontractor and supplier performance
Participation in project meetings, progress reviews, and coordination sessions
Ability to support risk identification and mitigation planning
Knowledge of compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and applicable regulatory obligations
