Senior Engineer III – End User Computing (Sr. Quality Engineer)
Trident Consulting is seeking a Senior Engineer III – End User Computing (Sr. Quality Engineer) for one of their clients, a global leader in business and technology services. This role is responsible for the design, delivery, quality, and operational excellence of Southern California Edison’s end-user technology ecosystem, focusing on stability, security, observability, performance, and user experience across enterprise EUC platforms.
Responsibilities
Lead quality engineering and operational excellence for:
Windows & macOS laptops/desktops
IPads, iOS mobile devices
Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online)
Integrate and manage endpoint platforms:
Microsoft Intune (Windows)
JAMF (macOS/iOS)
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards
Embed monitoring, telemetry, automation, and Digital Experience (DEX) analytics
Analyze incident trends, defects, and performance metrics to drive improvements
Proactively identify risks and service issues and lead corrective actions
Partner with IT Operations, vendors/MSPs, and business stakeholders
Present technical findings to both technical teams and senior leadership
Qualification
Required
7–10 years of IT engineering or IT operations experience
Strong background in managed services environments and vendor oversight
Deep expertise in End-User Computing technologies
Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive)
Windows, macOS, iOS/iPadOS
Intune, JAMF
Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
Strong understanding of Identity & security: Entra ID, Conditional Access, DLP, compliance
Platform architecture and product lifecycle management
Experience with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD methodologies
Proven ability to analyze defect trends, incident data, and quality metrics
Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Bachelor's Degree (technical, engineering, or business discipline)
Background check required

Preferred
ITIL, Agile, or DevOps process improvement experience
Digital Experience Monitoring (DEX), telemetry, observability tools
Experience supporting large enterprise environments
Endpoint analytics, device health metrics, and monitoring frameworks
Strong understanding of cloud collaboration and EUC-cloud integrations
