Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate monthly financial statements to the manufacturer (OEM) in a timely manner
Schedule Management: Conduct regular audits of all accounting schedules (deal payables, trade-ins, plates, and liens) to ensure they are clean and current
Funding & Contracts: Oversee the billing of deals and ensure all contracts-in-transit are funded quickly
Compliance & Taxes: Manage sales tax payments, licensing, titling oversight, and year-end tax preparation
Office Leadership: Supervise and mentor the administrative staff (title clerks, billers, and receptionists) to ensure a high-functioning office environment
Floorplan Management: Reconcile monthly floorplan statements and coordinate vehicle audits
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3–5 years of Bookkeeping or Office Management experience within a New Car Dealership (Franchise environment)
Advanced knowledge of major Dealership Management Systems (DMS) such as Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, or Dealertrack
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and OEM communication portals
A 'clean schedule' mentality with the ability to spot and resolve discrepancies immediately
Solid understanding of automotive-specific tax laws and titling requirements
