Responsibilities
Underwrite, document, and service a book of new and renewal large account loss-sensitive casualty business
Understand, interpret, and consider predictive modeling results as part of the decision-making process
Consider different approaches to accounts to maximize profitability
Execute strategies to drive profitable growth
Cultivate relationships with our sales executives to evaluate accounts and find creative solutions
Generate and assist with the implementation of ideas for continuous operational improvement
Create and build relationships with treaty and facultative reinsurers
Mentor and help train less experienced underwriters
Minimal travel
Qualification
Required
5+ years of national account and/or facultative reinsurance casualty underwriting (Auto, GL, WC)
Bachelor's degree
Ability to analyze risk across a broad spectrum of industries and clearly present findings
Strong problem-solving, reasoning, and decision-making skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Excel
