Responsibilities
Support the development and enhancement of costing processes and systems to improve financial reporting and operational decision-making
Prepare and assist in setting standard costs of manufactured goods
Conduct variance analysis, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions
Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure accurate tracking of material, labor, and overhead costs
Support month-end and year-end close processes, including physical counts, journal entries and inventory reconciliation
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and GAAP
Data clean up within SAP related to inventory and Bill of Materials
Establish systems for ensuring accurate Bill of Materials
Other tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2+ years of experience in accounting, Big Four preferred
Strong understanding of standard full accounting processes
Direct experience with financial systems, manufacturing systems, general ledger, standardized cost accounting, along with budgeting and forecasting. (SAP Preferred)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suites
Basic knowledge of and interest in supply chain/manufacturing
7+ years of experience in accounting, Big Four preferred
3+ years experience in cost accounting
Strong understanding of standard costing and full cost accounting processes
Direct experience with financial systems, manufacturing systems, general ledger, standardized cost accounting, along with budgeting and forecasting
3+ Years of experience with SAP Required
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suites
